Aidin Ashoori is a composer, pianist, and psychiatrist.
He began piano lessons at the age of four, and his talents were recognized from an early age. In 2009, he made his Carnegie Hall debut at a Winners' Recital following a First Prize award in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition. He performed at Carnegie Hall for the second time in 2014 under the auspices of the Alexander & Buono Foundation.
His work later expanded into producing sync music for motion picture campaigns and other media content. Represented by leading production music publishers, his work has been licensed by major studios and featured in high-profile campaigns, including for Pixar’s Toy Story franchise, Hulu’s Black Cake, and Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, to name a few. In addition, his music can be heard in TV shows such as Top Chef France, Masterchef: Dessert Masters, and Netflix's High Heat.
In parallel with his musical pursuits, Ashoori pursued a career in psychiatry. His interest in medicine was sparked in high school, when he performed regularly at a memory care center and witnessed the therapeutic power of music. Inspired to deepen his impact, he went on to earn his M.D. from Columbia University and completed his psychiatry residency at UNC-Chapel Hill.
