Aidin Ashoori is a music composer and a classical pianist. He began playing piano when he was four years old and began taking private lessons from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in middle school.
Aidin has won international recognition for his abilities as a pianist. Since winning his first piano competition at the age of 12, he has competed in a number of international competitions, recently winning the 2009 Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition and performing at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) in New York.
After performing piano throughout high school, Aidin began composing music, drawing on his experience in performance and studio engineering. He has worked with clients from all over the world. His most recent work can be heard in games for the iPhone / iPod Touch such as Litterfin Louie, Goin' Nutty, and the award-nominated Mecho Wars. Other credits include Perfect Dark: Source, a popular mod for the computer game Half-Life 2
Aidin currently lives in Houston, Texas and works as a freelance composer, creating original scores for video games, films, and advertisements.
